During this video, Dr. Randy Sprick the primary author for the Safe & Civil Schools series discusses the importance of staying calm when a student displays challenging behavior. This short video clip tell us how important it is to “bore our students into submission” when dealing with challenging behavior. Dr. Sprick is the primary author of CHAMPS, 2nd Edition: A Proactive and Positive Approach to Classroom Management. This resource assists classroom teachers to design (or fine tune) a proactive and positive classroom management plan that will overtly teach students how to behave responsibly.
